Hell Let Loose - Driel Map Refresh

I wanted to showcase some of the work I did on the visual overhaul of the Driel skirmish map, which was released alongside El Alamein during "Developer Briefing #199".
We understood the frustrations and disappointments expressed by the player base regarding the previous state of Driel, with some players feeling that the map appeared empty and gloomy.
To address these concerns, my responsibilities focused primarily on landscape changes and asset placement. This included enhancing the terrain with new landscape material blends, creating new pathways, and implementing improved road splines. I also added new assets and foliage to provide more cover options, addressing the dominance of recon squads in the previous version.
The performance issues have been addressed throughout the map. Optimising excessive texture sizes, reducing excessive mesh densities and ensuring LODs are drawing at more performant distances. Numerous bugs were also fixed by the art team.
I'm proud of the work myself and other artists put into this map refresh, and I look forward to creating more content like this for the community to enjoy in the future.
